Who is
Dr. Lynne Deakin?
HELLO! I’m Dr. Lynne Deakin and I help people and their animals by easing their pain and discomfort. I am passionate about my new direction in life!

Previously, I spent over 25 years as a practicing Dental Surgeon. I loved my chosen career until an unsuccessful shoulder operation left me with a right arm that did not move. After extensive rehab, some movement returned but not enough for me to carry on as a Dentist.
Then by chance, I took up the opportunity to train in The EMMETT Technique to be able to treat horses. I have always been passionate about horses and have been lucky enough to have ridden most of my life and I still have my own horses and continue to ride.
As I progressed with the equine course, very quickly I was impressed with the amazing results for horses that I started the Human EMMETT course. Halfway through the journey to becoming an EMMETT Practitioner for Humans, one move on my right shoulder changed everything… I got back full use of my right arm! This was life changing in so many ways!
I have since qualified as an Advanced Practitioner for Horses and an EMMETT Practitioner for Humans and Dogs. I am also a qualified EMMETT Workshop Tutor and I have almost completed the Advanced Human Practitioner course.
Since qualifying with EMMETT and having my eyes opened to different treatment modalities, I now work with a wide variety of modalities and tools. Over time I have fine-tuned the way I work into a deeply effective and lasting treatment for everybody and their animals, especially horses. I have trained in cutting edge techniques to achieve these positive health outcomes.
I invited Dr Lynne Deakin to speak about “The Magic in Those Fingers”. No one knew what to expect, Lynne opened with an explanation of the Emmett Technique before getting everyone to their feet, holding hands to form an electrical current between us all to light up a wand. Looks of astonishment shot around the room! This followed by willing volunteers for a hands-on demonstration; Lynne gently laid her fingers on points on the body which produced an involuntary twist from the waist. Another lady was ‘grounded’ (centred) and an increase in anothers hand grip all met with ‘wows’ of amazement from the audience. “The best speaker ever” and “she was brilliant” were just two of the comments I received from the departing ladies at the end of the evening!
